Being a port city, Havana was always open to sea trade from all corners of the world. On the Mercaderes street, a short distance from the bay and the historical Old Square, El Meson de la Flota opens its doors to visitors, bringing back the image of the old 18th and 19th century inns; those that serves as a meting place for sailors from the legendary galleon fleet during their stay in Havana.

The inn has five comfortable rooms and a restaurant that resembles a Spanish tavern that serves delicious tapas and select wines. The decoration of the inn features sea motifs with scale model replicas of old vessels, complemented by the charm and emotional call of a flamenco “tablao” that undoubtedly invites us to drop in and enjoy a night out.
