How moving in Havana city?
Havana is a very big city, if you want to know it all or in part on your trip to Cuba, you must know that you can not go walking everywhere, though there are circuits that we can recommend for this, but there are different means of transport that you can use both move to contact the Cuban daily life, among them are: public transport, the different taxi companies, the city tours or to rent a car.
Public transport in the city is quite complex. There are two kinds of buses in the city, known as buses and camels. Both classes are overcrowded and have no fixed schedules. Unless you are familiar with the city and its routes, most travelers avoid using this form of transport.
Since 2008 all taxi companies operate in Cuba under Cubataxi name, but many of them still pass through the city with their original names: Panataxi (the cheapest one), Turitaxi (the most expensives), Transgaviota y Taxi OK. Colors may vary from white with red letters in the sides to yellow with black letters in the sides too.
There are diferent and interesting options to make tours of the city, among which are horse carriage (very expensive), Havana Bus Tur, among others.
Rent a car in Cuba in general sense is expensive but it offers you the freedom to visit the place you want and stay there for the time you want, so it is well worth the pain. Biking is a fantastic way to visit the city, because there are special lanes for cyclers in most of the streets, including all Malecón longitude.
